The massive earthquake and consequent tsunami that struck the northeast coast of Japan on March 11 caused devastating damage to the coast of Iwate prefecture. Motivated by the thoughts about support for victims and recovery of the area, local volunteers in Morioka, the capital city of Iwate, got together and formed a relief team “SAVE IWATE”.

We focus on providing direct assistance in a flexible and prompt way, taking advantage of a small-sized civil organization. Your financial support for our relief project is most welcome and appreciated. Donations received will be used to cover cost for the relief activities, such as relief supplies transportation, purchase of immediate needs, office overhead, and volunteer activity expenses.

We will report details of money receipt and use in the annual financial statements.
